Kristeva's Sourdough Bread - Christmas 2017

If you want a quick and easy sourdough bread that tastes delightful, this recipe is for you!

Ingredients

1.5 C sourdough starter

1 egg

1 tbsp salt; I use Himalayan sea salt. (If in Grande Prairie buy here.)

2 C WW flour (I use Red Fife from Gold Forest Grains)

2 C Bread Flour (I use the Soft White bread flour from Gold Forest Grains)

1 tbsp raw honey

2-3 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. Place ingredients into a bread maker

  2. Put setting to Dough and press start.

  3. Remove dough from bread maker and shape to your liking.

  4. Let the shaped dough, score dough to your liking, and let it rise for 45 - 60 mins. (I use a Brod & Taylor fermentation station)

  5. While dough is rising, place dutch oven in the oven to preheat.

  6. Gently slide dough into the hot dutch oven, place lid on top and put back into oven.

  7. Bake at 350F for 40-50 minutes.
