Nanny's Apple Pie with No-Roll Cheddar Crust

The filling

5-6 granny smith apples

2 Tbsp flour

1 scant Cup of sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

Slice apples and blend dry ingredients. Then toss in apples and stir to coast well. Set aside while you make the crust.

The Crust

2 Cups Flour

2 Tsp sugar

3/4 C sharp cheddar cheese

2/3 C corn or olive oil

3 Tbsp milk

Sift dry ingredients into the pic plate. Add cheese and mix to combine. Add the oil & milk. Press into the pie plate reserving 1/3 of it for the topping.

Add filling and top with reserved crumbled crust.

Bake 450 F for 15 mins and then turn down to 350 F and bake 30 more minutes.
