Sweet-Milk Pound Cake
INGREDIENTS
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar (vanilla, chai tea, tonka bean, or rose petal infused sugar)
3 large eggs
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 9X5-inch pan with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream butter and sugar together on high speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition..
Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract and mix to combine.
With mixer on low, add dry ingredients, scraping down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is evenly mixed.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan to cool completely.
Glaze
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon Organic Whole Milk, or as needed for consistency
To a small bowl, add the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and whisk to combine.
Evenly drizzle the glaze down the sides of the cake before serving.
