Sweet-Milk Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup sugar (vanilla, chai tea, tonka bean, or rose petal infused sugar)

  • 3 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 9X5-inch pan with cooking spray.

  • In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Cream butter and sugar together on high speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition..

  • Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract and mix to combine.

  • With mixer on low, add dry ingredients, scraping down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is evenly mixed.

  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

  • Cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan to cool completely.

Glaze

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Organic Whole Milk, or as needed for consistency

    1. To a small bowl, add the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and whisk to combine.

    2. Evenly drizzle the glaze down the sides of the cake before serving.
