OVERVIEW

Whether you’ve been baking sourdough on your own for a while but are struggling for consistency or have been reading about it but the idea seems too overwhelming or just know that you love it—this workshop is for you.

In this workshop, we work together through sourdough from start to finish. You will learn how to start and maintaining your own sourdough. The class will cover working the dough (by hand and in a machine), proving, shaping, resting and finally baking the loaf. We will talk about the fermentation process and its health benefits as well as focus on local grain farmers and the importance of using quality flours when baking.

Kristeva will bake off some bread for you to sample as she introduces you to the world of sourdough starters.
